Like Whore Mother, Like Daughter
I know that Madonna fans everywhere are creaming their Armani manties over this photo from the upcoming Celebration video, but I'm not so enchanted. Everyone remembers the original Like A Virgin, right? An already 26 years old Madonna writhing and humping the floor like a cat in heat? OK and we all remember that Lourdes is 12, right? Not 18, 16, not 14, but 12.
I recognize we're officially one foot in the prostitot generation, brought to you by Miley Cyrus and Mattel, but still...how am I the only one picking up on this?
I guess since she's Madonna's daughter I should just be thankful she's only miming Like A Virgin and not, I dunno, straddling a crucifix or something. via Telegraph

I cannot imagine how jacked up that little girls head is going to be. One part megalomania, on part kaballah, and one part her dad as toy ornament that conceived her. Oh I am sure she will be such a joy for young men. And the sad part is I have been to really privileged environments and it is always the kids with the most money and looks that have some messed up family situation that end up the most miserable and the most misery causing. I mean they are like human rainstorms that will darken any person's life. I so hope that is not the future for little Ms Lourdes. But having mommy support her getting on stage acting like an iconoclast slut at age 12 is not a very promising sign. Oh well C'est la vie. Perhaps they will be a nice public lesson in how false spirituality and naked ambition and pure hedonism are not the way to go to be a positive force in the world. I know that many Gay men who love her and I can see why as she did act as a great advocate for them but lets face it she kind of had to as she sort of co-opted a whole lot of their creative culture and repackaged it as salable to middle america. Sorry not a fan of Madonna and I hate to see her beautiful 12 year old daughter taught that what mommy did was cute and funny.
