Mickey Rourke: Actors Should Shut Up About Politics

Hm actors should shut up about politics huh? You, Mr. Caca Mouth, should shut up about everything:

“Actors should shut up about politics, because they tend to be ill-informed finger-pointers who just cozy up to some flavor-of-the-month liberal, you know?” The Wrestler star says in this month’s edition of GQ. via Popcrunch

Gee, 'cause saying "flavor of the month liberal" isn't getting political, is it? I hate it when old hasbeen actors start staging a "comeback". They get a bunch of press and finally have a venue for all their confused, out of touch garbage. He's not saying "actors should shut up about politics", he's saying, "Most actors are mouthy, stupid liberals, so don't listen to them." Like it or not, whatever your political party, you are guaranteed to an opinion. That's what a vote is--a guaranteed right to an opinion from our government, whether that comes from a misinformed point of view or not.

Maybe I don't think actors should be spouting off their personal political opinions, but I much prefer it to the homophobic rants of Mickey Rourke. Old windbag. Go suck on some hard candy and have your five millionth face lift already. It would be a better use of your time.
